Boxing Day 2011 ; Male Junior Record Smashed!
Stoke St Gregory welcomed back many old friends and befriended a large number of newcomers to the Stoke Stampede as well. Weather conditions were ideal for a leisurely run around country lanes on Boxing Day 2011. It showed in the numbers of athletes completing the course as well as in the fantastic outfits some of them were wearing.
The 27th version of this race saw a record being smashed. In the Juniors category (runners between 15 and 18 years old) we saw the highest ever number of contestants take part with the winner of the category, Adam Speake, finishing in a fantastic 34.29. Just seconds short of overall third place which would have been a first for a junior to make the overall top three.
All other results as well as a large number of images will be addd to this website very shortly. If you can't wait that long ; keep looking at our facebook page and make sure to like us so you'll see our updates on your wall automatically.
We want to thank everyone who helped create yet another great event.
