The Stoke Stampede is a 10 Kilometer run over quiet, slightly undulating, roads through the village of Stoke St Gregory, near Taunton. A race which has grown considerably over the past few years attracting runners from all over the South West. We've been told people return to this race year after year because it is such a great course with friendly marshalling all along the route and enthousiastic crowds in the village square. Will a record number of 400 runners finish this year ? We will if you register !
The race originally began as a fun run to celebrate the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977. Quickly gaining accreditation to a UK Athletics licensed run.

We are sure you will all join us in thanking Stuart for his outstanding contribution to the race.
Sue Hembrow steps up to the role of Race Director, having been race secretary for a considerable number of years.
